A View Within was born from a lifetime of exposure to craft, creativity, and the quiet power of making. My earliest foundations came from my brother — a gifted woodworker and artist — who taught me to see materials not just for what they are, but for what they hold. His influence shaped the way I approach design today: with reverence, curiosity, and a deep respect for the stories that live within every home.

 

As the founder and principal designer of A View Within Interiors in Durham, North Carolina, I lead the studio with a belief that home should feel like a living reflection of who you are. The name itself speaks to our philosophy: design begins on the inside — with your memories, your identity, your lived experiences — and unfolds outward into the spaces you inhabit.

 

At A View Within, we design memory‑rich, deeply personal spaces that celebrate your story and evolve with your life. We listen closely, collaborate intentionally, and honor the individuality of every client.
