Designer

Cicely’s creative foundation was shaped long before she ever called herself a designer. Growing up in the Caribbean as the youngest of ten, she was surrounded by makers — siblings who introduced her to the quiet discipline of craft and the expressive power of art. She learned woodworking at her brother Avelino’s side and found early inspiration in her sister Karen’s oil paintings, pieces that now hang in both public and private collections. These early exposures taught her to see materials not just for their form, but for the stories they hold.

Her love of interiors was nurtured through a lifelong curiosity — hours spent with art books, lifestyle magazines, and design publications, paired with the influence of her travels. These experiences shaped her appreciation for luxurious, layered spaces and the emotional resonance of color, pattern, and texture.

Before stepping fully into design, Cicely built a successful 25‑year career in IT within clinical research. Yet the pull toward creativity never quieted. Drawing on her global experience, her technical discipline, and her design studies, she eventually followed the path that felt most true: creating spaces that reflect the lives, memories, and identities of the people who inhabit them.

Today, Cicely is known for her ability to blend vibrant palettes, thoughtful textures, and bespoke furnishings into interiors that feel deeply personal. Her work is guided by the belief that the smallest details often carry the greatest meaning — and that a home becomes most beautiful when it becomes a living reflection of its owner.
